Why UV reveals what daylight hides

Most conformal coatings contain a phosphor tracer that is nearly invisible under natural light but glows brightly under UV. The VC Series turns that glow into a clear, inspectable signal.

Under natural light, a thin conformal coating is almost impossible to see — bare and coated areas look alike. Under UV, the coating fluoresces, and the same board reveals exactly where coating is present, missing, or out of spec.

Where the VC Series fits in your line

Conformal coating AOI is the gatekeeper at the end of the coating process — positioned after the UV curing oven so that no miscoated board moves downstream. The series adapts to single- and double-sided coating layouts.

Single-sided coating (VC5000 / VC5100)

Cleaning → dispensing machine → UV curing oven → Conformal Coating AOI. The VC5100 can also support lower-level reflux inside the machine or bottom-level reflux outside it for fixture-based flows.

Double-sided coating (VC5300)

Cleaning → dispensing → board-reversing machine → dispensing → UV curing oven → Conformal Coating AOI. Both sides are coated and inspected in a single connected line.

Centralized management & SPC

Centralized AOI management enables remote judgement, offline programming, and real-time debugging updates. Rich SPC data charts support line-wide statistics and quality improvement.
